We desire our
practice to focus on lifetime relationships with patients who
seek fine dentistry and long-term prevention.
Not simply because
of the pleasant surroundings or because of the highly skilled
professional staff. Not even because of the high quality
technical work we do. Our practice is different because our
MISSION is different. Today, you are offered many choices
about dental care. You can choose an HMO (Health Maintenance
Organization), a PPO (A Preferred Provider Organization) or a
CAP Program (A Capitation System). In all of these health
delivery systems, you do not have a choice as to your
treatment plan. In other words, you are not free to choose
the dentist who attends to you.And normally,
you do not develop a significant relationship with either the
dentist or the staff. Our practice represents the 2-3% of
dentists in the U.S. who have made a commitment to practice in
a free environment. You are free to choose us or not. We are
free to choose the best treatment plan that is consistent with
your needs, wants, values. This is no idle, passive statement.
We believe that patients involved with HMO’s, PPO’s, and
capitation systems receive substandard treatment that does not
involve the patient as part of the solution. The patient
becomes the object of cure rather than the participant
in the prevention and curative phases of treatment.
Prevention
We have
centered our practice around prevention and health as opposed
to one that simply emphasizes emergency and repair care. The
supporting gum tissue and bone are just as vital as the teeth
themselves. Prevention is often misunderstood and inadequately
stressed.
The best way to
protect and maintain your teeth for life is to have a
qualified hygienist clean your teeth regularly, at which time
preventive procedures can be implemented. While the
responsibility for returning for periodic treatment lies with
you, we will provide an ongoing program of maintenance with
you.
We will begin
your treatment with a careful diagnosis, and then formulate a
dental plan. A comprehensive examination of teeth, gums, bite,
joints and soft tissue will be performed. We will then take
photographs, models, and X-rays, if needed. We will begin your

Emergency
We
recognize that emergencies do occur. Patients in our practice
family will be provided with a 24-hour telephone number that
will allow you to reach us at anytime of the day or night.
