Porcelain Veneers or Laminates
Porcelain veneers or laminates are thin shields of porcelain
that cover the front of the teeth. We can correct gaps,
crooked teeth, stained teeth, uneven teeth and we can make
teeth whiter. Using veneers we can create a very beautiful and
lasting smile. Today Dr. Scott Coleman and Dr. Spiker Davis
can deliver an improved smile in 24 hours with two visits --
one for the planning and impressions, the other for the
placement of veneers. Most of the veneers that we recommend
require no tooth preparation (no drilling). This allows
complete reversibility. If you ever choose to return to the
smile you had prior to placement of non-prep veneers or when a
new technique becomes available you can easily revert to your
previous smile.
Porcelain
Crowns
Natural looking caps or crowns can be made to restore broken
teeth or teeth damaged by decay. These can be porcelain fused
to gold or all porcelain crowns. Porcelain fused to gold is
generally considered to be stronger and longer lasting. Since
we have our own porcelain lab in our office, we can create
whatever you want.
White Porcelain or Composite Fillings
Tooth colored fillings of beautiful porcelain or composite can
be used to restore teeth to their natural appearance. The
fillings can be made to match the current color and shape of
the teeth or made to have a whiter, brighter appearance.
Tooth
Whitening
Bleaching or tooth whitening has become a popular way to
improve your appearance. We offer a take home program or an in
office laser type system. With either system approximately 10%
of the population will have a dramatic result, 10% will not
see any difference and 80% will see 4-7 levels of shade
change. The length of time the effects last depends upon the
patient's diet. The in office method requires about an hour
and a half of time in the dental chair and the patient will go
home with a touch up kit to be used as needed to brighten the
teeth. The at home program varies in length of application.
You may use it for as long as 4 hours at a time or for as
little as 30 minutes twice a day depending on the strength of
the bleaching solution.
Teeth
Bonding & Straightening
Bonding is a thin coat of porcelain mixed with acrylic and
painted over the surface of the tooth. It is possible to
correct gaps, crooked, stained or uneven teeth and we can make
teeth much whiter. Bonding is more likely to stain and chip
than porcelain veneers, but a beautiful smile can be created
in one appointment for less money and no grinding on the
teeth.
We Use the
Latest in Technology
The latest in dental technology is used throughout our office.
These are the tools used to provide a positive, custom
designed experience. Digital Imaging uses the latest computer
software and small video cameras to allow the doctor as well
as the patient a look inside the mouth. The technology also
allows the doctors to simulate the smile you would like
without having the dental procedures. With the laser-scan the
doctor can examine the teeth and determine if any decay is
present as well as note any weak areas that have a high
potential for future problems. |
